That kind of mentality from USA or UK has a lot to do with self righteousness of unlimited freedom, which explains why they have been invading other countries with their own idea of democrazy for ao long, however you have to understand their point of view too, people are tired of ANY big government in general all over the world. A lot of people are ready for a bigger change, for smaller communities that have established their own small governments, there's too many people of different beliefs and needs in big countries to be governed by the same rules for everyone. The concept of big governments of the few people ruling over the most people is getting outdated real fast.
