Nazis were known as far right since the war, ask any average person on the street how else would you describe conservatives, and they tell you nazis, duh. For generations we used to call them nazis because they are on a very fundamental level! And USSR was not communist either, both were conservative which is largely characterized by its patriariosm and imposition of rigid order which goes completely against the socialist/leftist ideals of native americans that value individual over a belief system. You're totally out of touch with reality to see that. Hitler and the Nazis were social Darwinists, not socialists, they opposed the idea of social welfare and even private charity and believed the weak and poor should parish according to their Darwinian principles. That's why they've been eliminating the disabled, homeless, slavs, gays, trans, and jews. This is being denied in the conservative circles trying to portray all-inclusive diversity-embracing the Left as fascists. The truth is Nazis rejected the fundamental ideas of socialism like equality for the fascist ideals of hierarchy, elitism, social Darwinism and patriarchy. They adhered to the survival of the fittest ethos, not survival through the Marxist-Leninist ideas of diversity. The Nazi economy was planned to achieve regime goals which were national autarky and imperialism, not social welfare - historical statistics show the Nazi economy moved money up from the working classes to the wealthy. They were technically State Capitalists. The national socialist party of 1930's Germany famously killed, jailed, and imprisoned most socialists and communists. The social democrats made concession and merged with them, and betrayed actual socialists. The similar thing happens in the US, if you suggest something like a wealth redistribution program, a food program, or major social programs. The FBI will call you “a strange domestic terrorist.” Because you are a threat to the corporate system that exploits its workers, and this system is reflected by the bigoted hateful behaviour of humans as well, and these same people are usually supportive of capitalism as well, it goes hand in hand.

Have you even learnt that the end goal of capitalism was the end of capitalism under the guise of (false) communism sold to the public, you shoudl read Lenin and learn something how it was designed, capitalism always eventually leads to authoritarianism because it is based on that principle to rule over others. You've been played throroughly like most conservatives=liberarals. At this time what people call left are actually democrats/liberals, that's how played they've been by the powers that be, they want you to think Nazis were the leftists, which goes completly against the logic and ideals of the left who support individual sovereigntty examplified by the support for lgbtq rights, which nazis were eliminating at the time. Who were establishing religiously motivated nuclear family model, traditional gender roles, gender binary and heteronormativity, even black people were persecuted, yea very leftist thing to do right. You've been had, but believe whatever you want, no matter how reality stands against you! The truth will be painful for you eventually.

Btw, Soviet Union was run by state capitalists, there was no real communism. China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam, and many other countries that Americans falsely label as communist are actually examples of state capitalism in action. Since at least the 1860s, socialists, including anarchists, have struggled for the achievement of a classless and stateless social order. It has been called communism or anarchism, an ultimate objective involving widely diverging methods and with some differences in the substance of classlessness and statelessness. Nevertheless, a “communist state” in this historically contextualised sense is an oxymoron, the governments headed by communist parties always named their countries people’s democracies or socialist states, among other descriptors laid no claims to any attainment of communism during their existence.
The Soviet Union wasn’t communist for the simple reason that communism has absolutely nothing to do with government. The definition of communism we are given is a lie so completely absurd that you’d have to have no understanding of communist theory to believe it. This is why this lie is so sinister, because it takes advantage of young American’s lack of understanding of economic theory in order to teach them these falsehoods. In the Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels never so much as mention, much less promote, state ownership of the economy. On the contrary, not only do they never support government control of the means of production, but they actually argue that governments should be abolished entirely. Karl Marx defined communism as a stateless, classless, moneyless society based on common control of the means of production.

State Capitalism is an economic system in which the state undertakes business and commercial (i.e. for-profit) economic activity and where the means of production are nationalized as state-owned enterprises (including the processes of capital accumulation, centralized management and wage labor). The definition can also include the state dominance of corporatized government agencies (agencies organized along business-management practices) or of public companies such as publicly listed corporations in which the state has controlling shares. Marxist literature defines state capitalism as a social system combining capitalism with ownership or control by a state. By this definition, a state capitalist country is one where the government controls the economy and essentially acts like a single huge corporation, extracting surplus value from the workforce in order to invest it in further production. This designation applies regardless of the political aims of the state, even if the state is nominally socialist. Some scholars argue that the economy of the Soviet Union and of the Eastern Bloc countries modeled after it, including Maoist China, were state capitalist systems, and some western commentators believe that the current economies of China and Singapore also constitute a form of state capitalism. State capitalism is used by various authors in reference to a private capitalist economy controlled by a state, i.e. a private economy that is subject to economic planning and interventionism. It has also been used to describe the controlled economies of the Great Powers during World War I. Alternatively, state capitalism may refer to an economic system where the means of production are privately owned, but the state has considerable control over the allocation of credit and investment. This was the case of Western European countries during the post-war consensus and of France during the period of dirigisme after World War II.Other examples include Singapore under Lee Kuan Yew and Turkey, as well as military dictatorships during the Cold War and fascist regimes such as Nazi Germany. Market socialism is based on the worker cooperatives. Nothing to do with state control of anything.

@409novaman George Reisman? You must be joking, this man has been one of the major tools installed by the system how to deceive the public in recent years. Reisman has equated the environmental movement with Naziism often, the fact that Nazi was short for "National Socialism" is his strongest evidence that socialism is equivalent to fascism-- ignoring the fascist regime's behaviors of beating up labor leaders or forcing them to drink castor oil in public, or the abolition of labor unions. If you can not see the signs of deception then you have be blind to the overhwlming evidences showing how capitalism is an inhuman anti-divine system that is in a radical disharmony and disconnection from mother nature by exploiting her for profit, in fact it perpetuates a predatory system and collective consciousness which should be transcended if humans are meant to ever evolve, it perpetuates the need for prisons, for police, laws and strict rules. Which were never necessary in ancient indigenous cultures that were far more advanced spiritually, hence why they were colonized and eliminated by the capiitalist colonialists over the years. Reisman seems to think taxes (of employers) are responsible for the loss of jobs and real income for rank-and-file Americans, ignoring the correlation between the preciptous deregulations and tax-loopholes that have swelled the wages of the 1% to levels unprecedented since the era of the unfettered robber barons of the Gilded Age. Exporting labor to countries that have few qualms about employing children and political prisoners, indentured servitude, complete disregard for the impact on local economies and the privatization of community resources such as potable water and practically no government oversight of multinational businesses, the modern robber barons have the insulation of libertarians such as Reisman to present straw men such as environmentalists to distract the 99% from the real issues: at least one multinational corporation is poised to spread its neonic insecticide across the American landscape, which will have real-world implications: neonics kill bees; without bees, most fruits and vegetables will disappear, an effect already a reality in communist China. Without government oversight, it is hard to imagine neonics producers and their promoters will offer caveats based on environmental devastation ( companies that manufactured insecticides in the past have also manufactured similar products for chemical warfare. If there was ever a disquieting connection between fascism and industry, you wouldn't have to apply such tortured logic as Reisman does in his nearly ad-Hitlerum attacks on socialism ). There are far too many criticisms of Reisman & his motley crew of libertarian advocates to list here, not the least of which is the historic use of taxation to build infrastructure for the public good-- public libraries, city streets and highways, public sewage processing and the oft-pilloried public school system which would be completely inaccesable to the poor and working-class if not for taxes. Socialism had nothing to do with Hitler except a name. He doesn't even know that Marx wasn't a communist, that belongs to Lenin who created the concept that Stalin, like Hitler turned into an old fashioned tyranny.

@409novaman The government and state have nothing to do with socialism. Call it what you want, but socialism has to do with the workers THEMSELVES having ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange. NOT the government having ownership. 'Socialism' is word, and therefore it can be used both 'correctly' and 'incorrectly,' its meaning only based on the interpreter's opinion/knowledge. So you can call it the german worker's party and say that if you connect the dots that nazis were socialist, but this will not have meaning due to the fact that many people do not know the definition of socialism based on its intended usage (aka the 'correct' meaning). Hitler said himself that his socialism was not the socialism of Marx. His policies sided with the businesses more than the workers, he blamed communists for the burning of the Reichstag and had Marxists put in concentration camps. What you shared is nothing but reactionary/liberal propaganda garbage that conservatives bought line and sinker. Reisman got it completely wrong. Nazism was Fascism, which is/was a right wing, conservative agenda of control. It has nothing to do with economics in its essence. It would help you more perhaps if you studied the psychology of these people and learnt what leads to actual authoritarianism. It was never socialism because socialism demands the value of an individual goes on top over any belief system, which demands a sacrifice of personal beliefs and ideals, socialism of indigenous tribes valued true self over the human ego, and this is why when people call fascism something that takes away their freedom of speech, it is the human ego that reacts this way, because it believes like it is deprived of freedom to devalue or invalidate others. Remember, viewpoint diversity always paradoxically cancels itself out when those views devalue that diversity. Socialism is a system where workers own the means of production, it is a system where people can be banned, censored or excommunicated for devalueing the differences of another human being. It is the exact opposite of fascism, but the ego interprets this as fascism when they are taught a lesson for harming others. In USSR the individual had barely any value, it was the leader who had to be respected, which is completely inverted socialism, it is the authoritarianism that stems from the luist for power, which are the basic tenets and principles of a capitist system, to rule and have power over others, as I said, the inverted socialism of USSR was an inevitable trajectory of capitalism. The entire cancel culture functions as a buffer against the actual fascism, which is the whole paradox, it values the individual over any tradition, beliefs or cultures, what you give you get back, it supports the life and dignity of an human being!

You've been completely indoctrinated by propaganda, KKK was funded by democrats which are conservatives! Not leftists! Hitler had nothing to do with leftism, people who know more about history than you would laugh at you for this, it is you who is trying to re-write it to fit your own authoritarian agenda. Yes gay-gestapo, lol, they have every right to punish you for disrepect, as I explained, in a system that values individual the sacrifice of ego is needed otherwise it devovlves into fascism and authoritarianism. Didn't you know that love is a sacrifice? I guess not. Authoritarian people have inverted this completely as they think they can do whatever they want, this is why we have laws to protect the dignity of people, people like you call that fascism, how convenient! The paradox completely eludes you, you are blind to see the authoritarianism coming from the consertvativism these days. It is clear to me that lack of self awareness is at the root of fascism, and you have demonstrated this here perfectly. You think you have every right to misgender someone, that is ending dear, that kind of fascistic behaviour was possible only during Nazi Germany, Nazis only reflected that, how German people acted. By the way, the system of Nazi Germany was socialist at the economic level, but as I explained they owned the means of production. It was a well known tactic to use the economic system of Nazi Germany as a proof they were socialists when in actual fact they were the exact opposite when it comes to other things.

Nazism's militaristic nationalism and systematic racism are characteristics of the European far-right, not the far-left. Hitler was and always will be seen as a prime example of what far-right means! You obviously flunked history yourself, cause it was being taught in schools for decades thet he was far-right. Leftists are against racism and power over others, the whole BLM is leftist, they value the sovereignty of an individual, they did not force you into vaccines, they gave you a choice, but considering how entitled and authoritarian people like you are, all you are capable of is self project what you are yourself, if only you saw yourself in the mirror, my god. You should read Mussolini's Doctrine of Fascism, which days Fascism is right-wing and in direct opposition to Leftism. Even the socialists engaging in politics today, including Bernie Sanders, are almost entirely democratic socialists with a focus on the working class, not an obligation to the state. Notice where patriotism comes from, conservatives, leftists/anarchists want to destroy the nation so we could go tribal, that has absolutely nothing to do with Hitler, he was a pure nationalist like Trump and other republicans who care more about culture, country and control than individual freedom. Leftists would rather bring down the whole nation rather than devalue the individual! One would have to be utterly blind at this point not to see Hitler in Trump and republicans. Please do us a favor and go away troll! Your own ignorance has been weaponized against you without even knowing it.
