@Bartsu27 Egypt controls a massive amount of trade of the global economy and at a time where the economy of the world is stressed to braking they have all the advantage

@Bartsu27 correction Iran can try to stop trade but they would easily get flattened for doing so the difference is the canal travels through Egypt they can shut it off when ever they want with out other nations being able to do much about it hell even a slowdown would cause shocks through the system of the global economy

@Bartsu27 I completely disagree the great powers have little to no interest in Ethiopia if egypt needed/wanted to invade they could use the threat of closing the canal as a way to keep the international community (most of who are toothless) from doing anything of note maybe some meaningless UN resolution will be passed but other than that nothing of note

@Bartsu27 China does not have the hard power to retaliate and the words economy is too week to risk the Egyptians shutting the canal for any period of time even if they don't donit officially (oops a nother ship got stuck)
