You understanding is wrong the Rebels took very light casualties as the regime forces took off running the second the Russian airpower was stopped they ran so fast the regime left behind 12 uparmored T 72s now the Turks are openly firing missiles from Turkey deep behind the enemy lines in Regime controlled syria all the regime was able to do was to take meaningless mountains and get their supply lines cut in the process
