Saddam bluffed his neck into a noose he was more worried about Iran and Israel finding out he didn't have that much in the way of chemical weapons that he kept the bluff up even after 9/11 and the US being freaked the fuck out by the attack was determined to not let something like that happen again so he kept fake chemical sites and fake mobile weapons labs expecting a short intervention he was wrong
