  15. Love this car 😍 may be my favorite Porsche. My dream Porsche would look something like a GT3 with softer suspension, rear seats and convertible top. Those first two items SHOULD have come on the gt3 touring.

Then they went way towards the luxury end and you get a small 7-series that has the steering feedback of a Lexus .. even if the engine and transmissions are still incredible

  48.  @bestbelieviet  nimble is about it due to the stiffer body structure. Nearly everything else that used to make them win every comparison test is lacking. Steering feedback is real shit, worse than my sister's new CX-5 Turbo. Modern technology is not making the cars more fun and that's why all the older M cars keep going up $$$. I've driven every gen of modern M6/M8 and the M8 felt much more pedestrian than either of the M6. like a 440i with big power instead of like an M car.

  51.  @johnmitchell2269  this doesn't have rear seats either 😂 911 weren't always twice the size of Miata. And the Miata is a fraction of the cost, limiting their choice of materials and r&d. Making the weight even more impressive. Don't get me wrong I also love Porsche. When I get a 2nd car will either be newish Miata or used Boxster.

  53. E90 and e60 drove just as well very likely better. My e61 doesn't feel as solid as my e39 but I wonder how much that has to do with aluminum doors. Still have hydraulic steering and non adjustable goldilocks suspension

  55. Tbf these have also been spiking in value lately. Especially considering that 997 turbo were the last to have a manual as an option. Low mileage 997 turbo go for at least $100k in the US now (well at least privately sold)

  56.  @tyler9703  you silly if you think this car isn't an experience. Yeah it's not a full blown sports car like the gt3, it's the more dailyable and pure thrust version of the 911. I too used to hate turbo motors until having some fun with the n54. Yeah lag isn't ideal on the racetrack but don't matter much on the street. Plus chirping blow off valves next to other cars is its own experience 😂 Think about is as an insane daily, not sports car replacement. I can guarantee 530hp+ will put a $hit eating grin on your face. I do agree this one needs a manual though.

A handling comparison wouldn't even be close They're two very different cars. Lexus is more grand tourer than the Supra, which is more sports car and less livable as a daily.   72.  @milovanraul9263  I think most of the e60 hate just comes from the looks, but the e61 has a much better rear end. E39 was the last of the super "classic" looking BMW's. I had an e39 530i and now drive an e61 535i with hybrid turbos 😁 once the F series came out the steering went to absolute shit

  78.  @philliesphan334  for the fraction of a percent they save on mpg it's not worth it. EPS definitely makes lane keep assist systems easier but then again.. couldn't give a damn for this kind of car. It sounds like Porsche has gotten eps right but I haven't tried any of their new racks

In the meantime they've added lots of added cost garbage like gesture control (BIG R&D) and mood lighting so it's not all for $$ I wouldn't be against eps if it was at least decent. 2018 440i I drove did feel much better than 2013 528i to be fair

The manual, straight six cars in general I think but it's not like the base cars will ever go up too much. I love the N54 in my e61 but horror stories of that and the s65/s85 have kept values down too

  90.  @jasono2139  yes my 500hp 535i hits 60 at the top of 2nd too. This porsche has an NA motor so there's not insane amounts of torque and the point of shorter gearing in a car like this is just so you get to redline it more not necessarily go faster

  91. That's bs though because the Ring is one of the bumpiest tracks.. that's why it's used as a testing ground. Bc having an overly stiff setup will cars just bounce around on the Ring

  92.  @sptauto  thanks 😅 Cars built at the Ring specifically need to be softer and have higher ride height than at 90%+ of other circuits in order to set a fast lap time due to the bumpiness and crazy elevation changes. Springs / Damping can't be too hard or else you'll upset the car and bounce right off the track like I said. Sebring is another track with a similar phenomenon. Tldr compared to most other race tracks, cars will need to be setup for more compliance and damping at the Ring.

  96. Yeah that or a stang would probably pull me away from this. I think it depends how you're using it, how much highway driving (where the v8s really shine over this), how much traffic, how narrow are the streets, etc. Assuming this is your only car and a daily.
