The chances of us discovering any non-Earth intelligence or biological entity is a probable as us running at the same pace as light travels. Doesn't mean nothing is out there, it's just that we'll never be able to experience it as the human race. Some distant planetary body with humanoids similar to us may feel the same way. Our reach is limited by our comprehension of what "life" really is and how it is formed.
