  1. Had the Oregon Territory dispute, nowadays BC & Yukon, led to another war with the British, I'm pretty sure everything west of Ontario (or at least Manitoba) would have been US territory. But I believe, the ongoing conflicts with Mexico throughout the 1800s led to US Congress downsizing their "manifest destiny 2.0" British Columbia came ridiculously close to becoming part of the US after the purchase of Alaska. Alberta would have been a blessing for the OIL boom of the early 20th century as well But, aless ☕🗿
