@EFR-rt1sb This seems redundant. Rather a pilot is certified or not you can't defend a system control switch that automatically plunges a plane to the ground (twice) whilst restricting the pilots from manually assuming control of it in the process. It was a "greedy" practice to remain in control of the market, especially the interests for their largest buyer American Airlines. You can only redesign a plane so much before the 2019 electronics are just too complex for a 60+ years old aircraft model. Anyone with a high school diploma can determine that.
