  1. I thought the same. The Type 1 featuring a ring like Saturn would make more sense and less risky from being roasted from a solar wind. I still thinking building any Dyson-sphere model around a star is pointless when one could just build a massive solar panel (on a moon maybe) next to the planet and collect the energy there.
