27:54 I would say, even if you do have the head-to-head advantage on the straight entering, from the outside, the proper racing adequate is to yield your right of way to the inside car unless you ABSOLUTELY have the clearance to avoid contact.
I'm no expert but studying racing & participating in some go-kart races, whenever you're heading on a straight, your tendency is to stay in & tight then drift out then back in to make a proper turn at a corner; curve or chicane but the car on the inside is given the R.O.W. and the stewards would see it as so whenever a contact occurs.
In a sense, whenever you're going all out on a straight approaching a turn, unless you have absolute clearance, it's best for everyone to yield that turn & stay outside.
It's a learning curve but if this helps a little to be prepared & avoid another accidental contact/collision, keep that outside; it may cos you to drop a gear & few RPMs but you'll have that advantage over the inside car your racing line is now LONGER to gain extra RPMs and even just an extra 3-5 MPHs gives you the advantage by simply stay outside on a side-by-side cornering
Love the content & this video, Chris! 💪🏾👍🏾
