  1. Spot on. Otherwise we'll all witness the slow death of the EU, torn asunder by every foreign or corporate interest. The history of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth is a somber reminder of how "Liberum veto" powers is detrimental to the body politique itself.

  2. We need to devolve the EU, and create a Western Bloc within. The fifth column illiberal anti-democratic governments ie Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia etc. are blocking every chance at meaningful reform whilst at the same time using "ineffectiveness" (which they greatly contribute to) as an excuse for standing in the way of EU policies. All the time while being the greatest per capita beneficiaries of the EU. We've all been had, ante et retro. We can't kick them out, apparently, so let's find another way to make life so miserable for these cretins that they voluntarily "Pole-out", "Hun-go" or "Slo-vacate" the EU.
