  1. I sincerely hope Ukraine succeeds, but at what cost? Wouldn't it be better to cut the losses and focus on joining NATO, building democratic institutions and rebuilding the country?

  2. I hope it happens, but it's a fantasy to keep fighting for the sake of Crimea. The most important aspect of that is that the Western allies probably won't be willing to go that far
