  1. The EU will do as they did in the 00's. They dangle membership and move the goalposts whenever the Turks achieve the requirement. Erdogan and his ilk is a direct result to the EU policies two decades ago treating Turkey as a subject instead of a partner. We could have had a bulwark and model for democracy for Asia minor and the Middle East, and instead we have seen Turkey recede into jingoistic nationalism.
