  1. We have a xenofobic, homophobic, pro-authoritarian and misogynist fifth column in the EU mutually supporting each other. Countries that view cooperation and compromise as weakness. They are all net receivers of EU funds and have benefitted the most from the EU the last 20 or so years. Sure, an economic crackdown on Poland and their allies will hurt everyone, but more them than the rest of the Union.
