  1. As a Palestinian Muslim man in Europe that had to start in a new "high school" (we have a different system in Denmark) in October 2001, I can definitively relate. In 2010-2011 it was the same thing with "Arab democracy" and completely missing the point that true democracy needs generations of strong institutions for the rule of law to indeed, well, rule. 2 decades+ later and sadly I can still fully relate to your great points.
