"Most federal laws abolished"... Can you hear how unhinged that sounds? I'm all for a systematic review of redundant laws, but maybe a reform of how people are put into power and money in politics should be the priority? Also, is your crusade against federal laws based on pragmatic good or is it solely ideological because you used to read Any Rand or something like that? I'm genuinely curious

@mtr3422 He has also said many things that directly contradict the constitution. He's just trying to sound less cultish and unhinged than he is, for the sake of the confirmation hearings. It's really that simple.

@EdC-x1q I'm with you with regards to prisons, but that's a different discussion entirely. Breaking laws, whether state or federal would still result in a sentence. Usually harsher for federal crimes, but that strictly depends on the state. Do you imagine Louisiana or Mississippi having a lenient judicial system compared to DC? I sure as hell don't. But point taken by what you meant.

@EdC-x1q Well, don't you think that's weird? One county you get a slap on the wrist, another you get 3 years? The first rule of justice is being consistent no matter the perpetrator. Arbitrary justice is just codified tyranny.
