Far left hegemony... You actually believe your own BS, don't you? Name three countries in the EU where the "far left" is in power?

@slavianalbanovich9025 That's very true with a few caveats: Modern political socialism doesn't necessarily view state control of the means of production as being a necessity. Most are happy with a strong state regulation of the market, safeguards with regards to essential infrastructure (ie 50% state control or union+worker oversight) and most importantly: Socialism is for the democratization of the workplace with regards to the larger decisions in a company and being represented on the board in corporations. It's absolutely insane that you have corporations evading social and economic responsibility and run like their own little dictatorships when they stand to benefit so much from the state funded development, education and services that make their generation of wealth possible. The above is of course simplified, but that's the brand of "Nordic Socialism" that characterizes the far left in Scandinavia. There are of course more radical elements, like knany other ideology, but they have no meaningful support in the population or represented in our parliament. Cheers!

@leonardschoyen That's blatantly false. It's a free market, but with regulations as we like our water without heavy metals and food without poisons in them.

@slavianalbanovich9025 You're right about the last part. The system is in essence capitalist but with strong protections of labour and a wide social security net. If it was up to us, there would indeed be a more democratic control of board rooms and company profits. It's insane that we have these despotic systems run as brutal feudal fiefs if they could get away with it. 50% of the board should be a rep of the workers and the profits should indeed be 25% earmarked for workers pensions, bonuses and improvements in the workplace. When it comes to essential in infrastructure, I'm of the opinion that the major shareholder should indeed be the state. We can't trust greedy corporations with managing our power, communication or water properly as their loyalty is first and foremost to create profit for their shareholders. Greed. Greed never changes...
