  1. Well, the current world system is essentially realpolitik on steroids. Countries are condemned for illegal or morally reprehensible actions, whilst other countries are allowed to go about their barbaric business because powerful nations have an interest in maintaining good diplomatic and/or trade relations. The examples are legion. The worst form of moral or legal authority is an arbitrary one.
