@natalianegritto Again. Same goes for Islam and Judaism. The many "kill them" quotes are referring to actual events or the end times prophesies. It's ignorant to believe that one religion is all about war and death and that your own religion is so much better because you choose to cherrypick the scripture. If Jesus was actually listened to, why the hell are there so many social problems that could be solved with paying a bit more in taxes - shouldn't conservative Christians be pushing for that instead of denying people healthcare, housing, food etc? Hypocrisy and greed are their true Gods. Not Yahwe, Jesus or whatever...

The UK and the US (and later Israel) have been meddling in Iranian and Middle Eastern internal affairs since day one. It's rich coming from a posh entitled British prick to present a natural and normal reaction to their policies as aggression. From Vietnam to Ukraine and now Gaza, these people will never learn that they are the problem, not the solution.

You can find similar quotes in the Bible, including Jesus himself, and especially the Tanakh - most recently the "Almalek" speech that Netanyahu gave that basically meant "Kill everything". You're cherry picking to confirm your bias. Look instead at the conflict zones and their origin, and you'll understand that it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with neo-con capitalism and maintaining the hegemony.

How about that Israeli zionist dream of "Eretz Israel" depending on who you ask it's at least all of Palestine, includes Libanon and Jordan or from the Nile to the Euphrates if you ask your local genocidal Ashkenazi zionist settler. People like Hamas don't just spring up from a vacuum. 75 years of subjugation, apartheid and killings tend to do that. Just ask every single freedom fighter in the former British or French colonies. They were terrorists too, correct? The term today just means "people the West don't like" because Egypt, Saudi and Israel are just as much employing terror tactics against civilians. The only difference is they're much better at it. Oh, and they're buddy chum-chums with the US.

@kristiskinner8542 "Them" Do you know any Muslims? I know plenty. They're people. Just like everyone else. Some drink, some pray, some are assholes. I think you need to look in the mirror and consider who is really the one who adheres to ideas that will cause hurt and harm to people.

@kristiskinner8542 I have read the Hamas charter of 2017. Have you? Or did someone in the media just outline it for you with their interpretation? I'm not defending Hamas or their actions, but simply referring to something as "Islamic" is not good enough. Even though you might clutch your pearls by the thought. Their charter has not much to do with Islam, really, except the sanctity of the Al Aqsa mosque. Its foremost a Palestinian nationalist charter. They are even willing to abide by the 1967 borders as outlined in UN resolutions, but on the condition that all settlers be expelled from West Bank and East Jerusalem. Since they are illegal, I don't see a problem with that. At all. If you can have Christian Democrats in Europe, Republican religious right in the US, I don't see why you can't have "Islamic" Conservative parties and groups in the Middle East. I don't agree with them at all, but then again, I'm probably considered a socialist in the US. It's a set of misinformed double standards peddled by media that are interested in keeping you afraid and suspicious. Because it generates clicks, which generates money, which generates votes, which generates power. Get off the "fear and loathing" crack, lady.
