  1. @neo11 Have you read any of his books? No? Then please be silent. Have you been in Greece and seen the circumstances that the refugees are living under? No? Then please, again, stfu. Greece should not be ashamed. I have never met a more hospitable people in my life. The EU on the other hand, should feel absolute shame as we have effectively cancelled the human rights of others and are undermining the very foundations of a democratic Europe.

  3. Well, I read your article. Thanks for it, btw. What Nevradakis fails to mention is the ongoing negotiations during the 2015-16 crisis and whether Varoufakis (and yes, Syriza) were actually given a choice. Do you think that Varoufakis is wrong when it comes to democracy vs. the undemocratic financial decisions that Greece were forced into? I think what the Greek gov lived through actually proves his point. And let's be honest: Some of the points in the article are quite weak, and honestly gives a minister of finance too much credit for what could be done in Greece, the EU and the IMF. Why did he leave? Nevradakis promises to comment on that in his column, yet not a single sentence about it. Greece and her people were never given a fair choice. On the Eurozone discussion, I have a tendency to agree with the article. Maybe Greece should have declared bankruptcy and pulled out of the Euro. Maybe it still can and usher in a long-needed reform of the Eurozone and EU. But yes, I don't believe there is an immigration/refugee crisis. There is a EU crisis for sure...

I did volunteer work in Greece, before I worked as an MD for MSF in Greece for almost a year. And I have gay muslim persons in my family who are fully loved and accepted. So tell me: Towards whom have I been bigotted and racist ? Please enlighten me.... 2) Didn't I agree with you that the EU sorely needs reform? Yes It's fucked, yeah. And Greece got the worst of the worst deals. 3) Am I a fan of Israel, Egypt, UAE, Turkey and Saudi Arabia ie. "our friends"? Fuck no. I just wrote an opinion piece (in danish) about that very subject (probably banning me from Egypt and Saudi Arabia now). Pointing out problems doesn't mean that I'm okay with other problems. You DO understand that, right? Next I'll be taking on Poland, Hungary and Turkey. What the fuck have you done lately? 4) You have not in a single sentence adressed that Greek politics and finance policies fucked the country over before we even had a crisis... Not a single word where you say that Greece is even partly to blame for the clusterfuck that is greek financial policies the last 30 years. 5) By your own logic: You wan't out of the EU. You have said nothing about refugees' rights. And you don't take any blame. No compromise or nuance in anything you say. Would it be fair to say you are pro-Golden Dawn or an authoritarian communist? You certainly check the boxes. You my friend, might just be part of the problem.

  7. Actually I'm a socialist and sceptic towards the EU. And I don't agree with how Greece is treated. But you already knew that if you actually read my comments.   8. Your main enemy is populism - also on the left. Not an "idealised" globalist agenda. The border project in Europe would still be alive if we (other countries) actually took responsibility and our fair share of the burden. But leaving the EU would ultimately only hurt Greece. EU and the ECB are crooked, yes. But Greek politicians who for generations have been thinking about the next election and lining their pockets instead of the overall health of the country are to blame as well. We see that everywhere in Europe today. From Brexit to Poland to Hungary to Austria to Denmark (where I live). From that, it's only a few bad decisions that lead to goosesteps in front of parliament....

And no rights to women... Why does the Nordic countries not have the same economic woes as Greece? France? Netherlands? Czech Republic? etc... Greece fucked up. Big time. Then they got the shaft.
