  1. Regarding Iran: The US has unfortunately proven that it cannot be trusted to uphold the deals made by a former administration. The only proven method to minimise US interference in Iranian affairs would therefore, sadly, be obtaining nuclear capabilities. North Korea has shown this time and time again. By consistently siding with Israel and Saudi Arabia - equally brutal regimes in their own right, the US has furthermore shown that this is solely a matter of geopolitical interests and not a quest for furthering democratic values in the region. Iraq, Egypt and Syria are clear examples of this.
