  1. Ukraine seriously needs to add their coat of arms to their official flag. Their flag now is a boring alt copy of the Polish flag. With their historic symbol on their flag, it becomes wholly unique, recognizable and instantly iconic.

  2. It's a bad idea. That's exactly what the Czar did in WW1. Instead of controlling the dissidents, it's a recipe for disgruntled citizens to bring news of home and the lies being told, causing mass desertions and organized resistance against the regime.
