Israel have a long and "proud" history of denial aided by western media and governments (beheaded babies, mass rapes, IDF not killing their own, killing journalists) and then the usual backtracking and then months to years later finally admitting it was a "mistake". Even for children or journalists shot in the head or missiles bombing hospitals.
