  1. Oh man, imagine the situation where Mexico joins BRICS+, de-dollarizes and enters a military defence treaty with Russia and China. How would the US react in such an unlikely scenario?

  2. Your points are well taken but a few notes: 1) Simply showing an expenditure corrected for inflation tells us almost nothing . It's far more useful to present defense spending as a percentage and compared in real numbers in 1939 Vs 2024 to other countries. 2) The amount of people working in manufacturing in pure employment numbers is in fact absolutely useless . Example: There was >90% farmers in 1800 vs <1% today. Does that mean that agriculture is dying and people are starving? Or should you maybe take production output and mechanization into account? 3) The scenario of Russia attacking any NATO country is at best, extremely unrealistic and at worst, outright disinformation to serve a political agenda. If Russia is seen as an irrational actor, what should we then say about the highly erratic US foreign policy the last 25 years?

  3. I'd love your thoughts on the geopolitical position of the US and Israel "after" the war in Gaza concludes - and in that regard the realistic scenarios in which the conflict can be resolved. Cheers!
