Not for the price of 90.000 estimated casualties and the cost in valuable military materiel lost.

I've honestly lost a bit of respect for Anders since he's so adept at analysing combat methods and intelligence and has more or less refused to comment on the brutality and campaign of slaughter by the Israelis in Gaza. Especially since he has freely commented on the methods employed by Russia, of which 9000 Ukrainian civilians including 550 children have been killed over the past 21 months. For perspective Israel has killed 16000 Palestinians, 70% women and children among them 7000+ children in two months ! At the very least, I would have expected a thorough analysis of the absolutely impossible military undertaking, especially the job of eradicating a political ideology while traumatizing millions and radicalising them further towards the very same ideology.

@andarara-c1p No, I mean this offensive only. The numbers are corroborated and multiple sources have given the same estimate of 90.000. That's not good considering it didn't lead to any sizeable strategic or tactical advantage. It's just slaughter at this point

@andarara-c1p Look man, I don't give a shit if you believe me or not. It's the reality as far as we can penetrate the fog of war. Or do you take the Ukrainian reports as accurate? Because neither the Russians or Ukrainians are interested in telegraphing failures and high casualties. This is war, not X-factor. Total Ukraine losses are estimated between 250-300.000 conservatively (depending on the source, of course). Le Monde did a report 2 months ago about the number of amputations and analysed that this number was far higher than you would expect for the losses reported by the UAF. Then there was a New York Times piece about a month ago that spoke to military analysts from abroad and they placed the total number of dead and wounded around 90.000 for the entire spring to fall offensive. I've heard that number repeated in other media too, media that isn't pro-Russia or pro-Ukraine (Hindustan Times, Al Jazeera) Normally I would do my due diligence and send you the links, but you're rude and don't seem at all interested in actually learning anything. Look for yourself. I'm not wasting more of my time on you.

@dominikvonlavante6113 Believe whatever you want. I'm citing sources and analysis from Le Monde, New York Times, Hindustan Times and Al Jazeera. American and European analysts working for the state cannot or will not bring you the correct figures. Their job is inherently political. But open source intelligence analysts have no problem in crunching the data and telling it as it is. If Ukraine isn't on the verge of indeed collapse, then why are the entire West suddenly hesitant with their support to Ukraine? Shouldn't they be increasing support and arms production as promised? The Americans are stalling 60 bill $ in Congress. Is it because they're liars and untrustworthy. Sure, it could be. Or is it because their own intelligence have told them how bleak the situation is and that they effectively should cut their losses now? Biden wants to continue the support because this war will be his legacy and he might lose the election if Ukraine falls before that. It's political for him. He doesn't give a fuck about Ukrainians. Or as the fat piece of shit Lindsey Graham said: "We'll support them till the last Ukrainian".

@mariaf.6601 Gaza health ministry. The UN has said numerous times that the reported numbers from earlier conflicts have been accurate. Journalists on the ground and NGOs such as UNRWA and RC have stated that the numbers are likely correct. The IDFs own estimates are 20.000. killed. Israel on the other hand first said 2000 dead. Then 1400. Then 1200. And among them many soldiers. No beheaded babies. No forensic evidence of rape (not that it couldn't happen). The burned bodies are "melted". Not something gasoline can do - but Israeli ordnance can. Hostages testified to IDF and police killing civilians, they have now been silenced. No HQ under hospitals despite 420 registered and verified attacks on all hospitals (UN, Gutierrez's and Ghebreyesus). You may rightly doubt Hamas and their figures, but you're at this point very naive if you still believe anything from an Israeli official.

@ChucksSEADnDEAD Under 18 I would assume. The 21 thing is wholly American, I believe. But the average age of all casualties (including adults) is 5 years old!! So the vast majority of children killed are kindergarten age or younger.
