So marginally better, and vastly more expensive... Looks like the Rus have learned in the F-35 school of weapons development.

It doesn't matter how Israel "stacks up". They have the blind support of the US (and others) to commit genocide. Imagine the support they'd receive if they actually had a legal right to "defend themselves".
19
When will anyone hold Israel accountable for it's many crimes?
15
Pssst. France! Theyre going through Belgium!
11
Sure thing, WuMao
11
Sure. But how will they prevent private Kleptovich and colonel Stealkov from undermining any funds added to the Russian military? For a country spending 100 bill USD (probably closer to 250 bill USD correlated for purchase power) yearly on their defense budget, their military is hilariously poor and underequipped. Nothing beats an army better than their own corruption.

The conflict is all but over. All that is left is for the West is to pressure Zelenskiy to sue for peace. This is what happens whenever the Americans are not directly involved in a conflict. They're buddies until it's suddenly inconvenient and their allies are left with the rubble. Especially if it's between supporting Ukraine in an existential war and Israel in their genocidal campaign. Ukraine should've spent a few billions lobbying like AIPAC...
8
Not among the cheapest by a longshot. And that's of course if you entirely discount the R&D and initial investment pool. It's the single most expensive weapons program in history. By far.
7
You've basically just described US foreign policy too for this century. They're not the good guys. They just use the rhetoric of human rights and democratic values to impose their interests and will upon others. No one hates the US for their freedom. They hate the US for denying them their own freedom.
7
Give it 10 years with next gen AA and we're back to logistics and cost efficiency. The F35 loses that competition badly.
7
How and why would you count the Ukraine among the border with NATO? Any nation with ongoing border disputes cannot join NATO. Unless a miracle occurs and Ukraine reclaims all of its territory including Donbas and Crimes, I fail to see how Ukraine can join.
5
It's quite hypocritical that many Spaniards consider Gibraltar "rightfully" Spanish, but refuse to acknowledge the very same claim made by Morocco towards Spanish holdings in North Africa.
5
The US and their absolutely bonkers weight and distance measurements... There's a reason why the word "metric" today also is "means to measure something" in the vernacular.
5
I appreciate the video, but this is a pointless subject. No one is interested in a prolonged war if they can force their opponents to surrender.
4
I hate Putins regime as much as the next guy, but the war is effectively over. The funds from Europe and the US (if the GOP acquiesces) are just that: Funds. Not arms and specifically not arms that Ukraine needs. Russia can sustain the attrition whereas Ukraine is facing critical shortages in every aspect - most importantly the lack of manpower and the lack of resolve among their allies.
4
How in the hell is that WW3? Tons of conflicts have happened in Africa between more than a couple of nations. I doubt you can even mention a few of them. Regional war? Sure. World war? Nope.
4
Are you having a ströke?
4
That's a very confident statement. No they're not obsolete, merely need to adjust to the new playing field and probably more focused roles than earlier. You should check out Animarchy and Perun. They have excellent videos on the subject.

This is political grand standing at its worst. The money spent should instead be invested into green energy and R&D as climate change is a much greater national security threat than an impoverished, depleted Russia that can't fight a single nation, let alone NATO. Not accounting for PPP, current NATO budget is almost x20 that of Russia.
3
That's not "Shock and awe" doctrine. Both wars in Iraq, The US gave ample time to Iraqi forces to entrench and defend their positions. Shock and awe doctrine instead of "blitzkrieg" emphasizes immense logistical preparation and planning before initiating an overwhelming air campaign followed by a coordinated assault targeting CnC, communications and infrastructure along with usual defensive military targets. The air campaign is key and requires immense superiority or outright supremacy in the skies.
3
Mobilization over 27 of age is a calculated decision to hurt the economy now, but try to limit the damage on Russian demography (and possible economic growth) in the coming years.
2
The Achaemenid Empire was 2300 years ago and was broken by a single well-timed charge. Your last "great" empire was broken by illiterate desert bedoiuns. And then you adopted their culture, letters and religion... Get over yourself. PS: "Persia" is the greek name for Fars. Greek. Name. Let that sink in, bub.

@petersouthernboy6327 I'm almost in denial too since a single plane costs the equivalent of running a medium size hospital for a year. Not including parts, personnel and the trillions used on development, of course. In any equal combat scenario, the F35 is simply too expensive and difficult to replace to be an effective combat platform. Any country except the US simply can't afford it beyond the initial purchase and development investments made.
2
@petersouthernboy6327 They're politically committed to buy the planes because they otherwise can't defend the huge R&D and initial investment to their tax payers. It's called being "pot committed" in poker. The weapons program alone cost a double digit trillion $. That's besides the initial purchase and running costs. The F35 is amazing, no doubt there. I'm arguing that it's vastly overpriced compared to its abilities. You have presented absolutely nothing to dissuade that notion besides jingoistic platitudes, regurgitated buzz words and rudeness. Try having an original thought for once in your life. I promise you, you'll love it.

In what world would Russia be a threat against Poland, let alone NATO? Unless they're thinking of going solo, of course. In that case, their leadership would need a mental examination....
2
They'd probably run out of ordnance, no?
2
Four words: Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Japan The US is beholden to war fatigue in the public. North Korea is (probably) not. "Winning" the war ia. killing people and destroying infrastructure - no problem. Securing a lasting political peace without tremendous US losses - very unlikely... Think of the the Pacific campaign in '45 if nuclear weapons were not deployed.

The important thing was the fallout we made along the way
1
@uranusismightybig5111 It's pathetic how you believe every dissident voice against the mainstream is somehow propaganda. I'm just calling it as I see it. And I'm rarely wrong. The war will end in 2025-2026 with an utterly devastated rump Ukrainian state and a Russian state in severe economic trouble.
1
@baronvonsnipeyou Why? What does the West possibly stand to gain from including a corrupt, impoverished Ukraine into NATO? The US gambled imho on the war causing the overthrow of Putin. The Euromaidan revolution itself was arguably illegal and possibly received support from the US and other clandestine actors. I'm not saying Russia are the good ones, not by far, but the US track record of meddling and causing untold suffering is legendary. And now we Europeans as the morons we are have simply followed the US into another slaughter which will be extremely dear in lives, treasure and moral standing. But hey, as long as they'll fight to the last Ukrainian, we're fine bleeding Russia and Ukraine dry, right?
1
@lamalien2276 I disagree. I find harmless comments on military porn to be the spice of life.
1
@anguswaterhouse9255 Sure. After trillions of dollars in R&D and pork barrel manufacturing costs. That's the equivalent of having to sell your house so you can make money on selling lemonade in a stand.
1
@fir3drag0n1984 Football? Oh you mean like the "beheaded babies"? The "babies in ovens" and "hung on a drying line"? How about the "HQs under hospitals"? Corpses entirely melted, which could only be achieved by heavy weapons from helicopters or tanks? "Mass rapes" where there aren't a single piece of photo or video evidence? The obvious and desperate lies are so frequent that I would get arthritis from typing them all out to you Now please, Your excellency, address this: How about cutting food, water, medicine and electricity to an entire population? The infants that died in their incubators? 15.000 children killed and 40.000 children wounded and maimed? If you're the oppressor, you cannot claim "self-defence" and being the victim. This will not be forgotten and possibly never forgiven either. A pathetic country that might have a right to exist, sure, but certainly doesn't deserve to any more.
1
@jonathanpfeffer3716 12 trillions in USD, buddy. It's a social welfare program that (thankfully) produces something the IS can export. Prove me wrong on that one, sport...
1
@niweshlekhak9646 Sure, because labor, materials, assembly and maintenance is free, right? The military budget is an estimation, sure, but how much of it in Russia do you think actually goes to the military?
1
@God__Emperor_ If you have nothing substantive to add, you should really just remain silent.
1
@chadbrad8100 There is already a deterrent: Having 20x the budget, not even accounting for Russian mismanagement and corruption. By overwhelming the Russian military even more, you're basically making a case for Russia to employ nuclear weapons as that's their only way to a potential military victory...
1
@ronblack7870 Why is it that you scare mongering about a possible Russian attack is somehow more legitimate than the certainty of drastic climate change that will result in conflicts, untold refugees and global economic crises? Do you honestly believe that Russia is capable of starting any more wars against countries that are large, armed and prepared? We're wasting our resources and money on propping up American Corporations instead of investing in our future. You know how you truly fuck Putin's regime? You make gas and oil obsolete.
1
Drones won't make anything obsolete other than the weapon systems that used to fulfill that role
1
V for victory. You'd know if you'd seen any fucking footage from WW II
1
Sounds like the usual Serb fanboy with a an axe to grind because we levelled them when they tried to commit genocide. again .
1
@richdobbs6595 I see your point, but it's quite sad that you think I'm being foolish for pointing out obvious contradictions in the behaviour of people and their governments. Might makes right, it has always been this way. Where, what and why with regards to the territories is quite irrelevant when discussing principles.
1
Does Poland have the necessary capabilities of required air defence and air support, let alone the staggering cost of the munitions required even for peacetime training to make this a feasible investment?
1
Airpower is pretty important. That's the lesson.
