Not an American here. It seems to me that America has always been based on cruelty and greed. From the genocide of natives that are still suffering in their "reservations", to slavery, Jim Crow and black people getting brutalized and shot by police. Oh yes, and asylum seekers put in cages. Children in cages. Not being paid a living wage or afforded basic healthcare. College tuitions out of reach for the majority. Undemocratic electoral system. A corrupt political system rules by corporate interests. I'm sorry, but I have to ask: In what way is the USA a model for the rest of us? It seems that Trump and the GOP today are merely monuments to your sins as a nation.
