We're they white? Was it easier in the 50s and 60s to find a well paying job? Was is easier to pay off your student loans back then? Were there less overall economic inequality during that period? Were there less money in politics? 4/5 of the above is a YES. And if your grandparents were black, how'd you think they would have fared during the 50s and 60s. In short: Take a deep breath, get informed and maybe come back to us when you have a more fact based comment.

@GamerFromJump I am well aware of that. But we're Irish migrants in the 1850's doing worse than blacks? The Italian migration in the 1890. Again, was it worse than being a Native American or Asian? I would argue that Italians, Irish and German descendants are doing better on average than descendants of Africans, Natives or Hispanics. You see? That's why people are marching. Not for special privileges. Just to be seen and heard and have equal opportunity if you work hard. You know, the so-called American Dream?

@mottyk8491 If by acknowledging historical injustice, exploitation, cruelty and misinformation I'm playing "The victim card", then you're absolutely correct. I'm a Muslim refugee living in Europe. I'm doing very well now, because I was afforded an education and free healthcare during a severe illness. But it isnt always easy. Being white would have certainly helped. Racism isn't over. Anywhere. We have to remain vigilant towards people that actively try to subvert our rights as citizens. Always.
