  1. Although things are looking better than what most of us expected at the beginning of the invasion, it seems awfully premature to start talking about rebuilding and how it will be done. Plenty of modern nationbuilding efforts that became abject failures. Ukraine has many things going for it to prevent a failed state or division, but it's an act of pure hubris to just assume away...

  2. Fuck no. The last we need is undercutting our own labor markets in a volatile economy. What you're suggesting is an anti-EU populists' wet dream to gain power and further weaken the idea of the EU - or even secede from the Union. And Ukraine isn't even ready to meet the criteria of submitting an application to the EU, let alone entertain the notion of membership.

  3. Doesn't change the fact that Ukraine is among the poorest and most corrupt countries in Europe. Even a shithole like Belarus ranks higher in every international study. Thats says it all, really.
