Zero sympathy for who?

You can hardly blame migrants for exploiting an opportunity to seek a better life. We don't know how many might be actual refugees fleeing persecution. And since Poland has never helped any of their European brothers during their refugee crises, I'd understand if Poland also deserved NO SYMPATHY.

@paulsz6194 That's a bullshit straw man argument and you know it. My little country took in 40.000 Syrian refugees. And I worked as an MD in Greece for 9 months to do my part. How many refugees did Poland take during the height of the refugee crisis when Spain, Italy and Greece were begging the rest of Europe for help while trying to recover from an economic crisis? 0 That's not an emoji gone wrong. That's ZERO. Essentially a giant "fuck you, we don't care" to the entire European community. Did you help in any way, my good man? And how has the Polish government generally acted towards the EU the last few years? I'm just showing you the hypocrisy of Poland. Only seeking the benefits and never sharing the burdens...

@paulsz6194 Triggered much? I did practice what I preached. You'd know if you read my comment in its entirety. I am no way arguing against Polish right to sovereignty. I am arguing that since you have no sympathy for migrants, which is a valid, albeit not very humane, opinion, you could argue that Poland, deserves no sympathy based on its lack of support to its European brothers in their time of need, and recently seeking to undermine the very institutions that have only strengthened and enriched Poland. Now answer me this: Out of all the EU countries, which one has the largest amount of expat migrants compared to its population? Hhmmm. Moving to another country only for economic benefit.... Hypocrisy.

@paulsz6194 I agree with you completely in that regard. Neighbouring (rich) countries should be the first to receive migrants, especially if they are UN refugees. That's a failing of all our politicians, not applying pressure on these autocratic states. But that's not the situation at hand, unfortunately. It's really several issues that are somewhat intertwined. 1) EU policy and actions with regards to migrants - which will only increase (Afghanistan, Ethiopia) 2) Hybrid warfare from the likes of Putin, Lukasjenko and Erdogan, and how we will all meet this threat. 3) European solidarity. And how Poland has been a bad faith actor since the initial migrant crisis, and more recently, using nationalistic populism to consolidate party political power in clear violation of the EU charter.

@redforman2999 I think you need to look up actual statistics, facts and possibly an atlas too. And maybe remember that Poles are the single largest migrant group within the EU and are so "because of economic reasons". Oh, and they collect benefits too in their country of residence. Look it all up, my friend, and then we can have a conversation about the facts (and yes, very real problems) and not something you're pulling out of your ass after what you saw on Facebook...
