  1. Iran didn't "attack Israel". They responded to an act of war and war crime: The bombing of the Iranian embassy. The retaliation itself was designed as a demonstration to save face and de-escalate the tension. Or are we just making shit up as usual when it comes to Israel? PS: I hold no love for Iran. But facts used to be important.

  2. It's the Occupation, stupid! Until Israel is made to answer for the generations of occupation, apartheid and killings of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, there is no one that can believe the US to be a force for good in the world.

  3. You're absolutely right. The attack on the US Embassy by Iran also gave the US cases Belli (cause for war). I don't put any faith in anything that comes out of the Israeli government. They've avoided every single burden of proof when it comes to their atrocities and war crimes up until now. I see no reason why any rational actor would consider their words anything beyond self-serving propaganda, much like we treat Iranian statements. But yes, I don't believe Iran has any interest in conflict over Gaza. It's in essence a PR stunt. The sad truth is that Iran and Israel benefit domestically by whipping up fear of their enemy when convenient. I'm no analyst, but I'd love for more media to be honest about the above instead of using hyperbole about "WW3" - which in any case it won't be. Just another war that the US allows themselves to be dragged into as usual...
