  2. The US have been key in propping up these autocracies. They have for a long time preferred autocrats instead of the democratic will of the people which can't be bribed by US intervention. You made the bed. Lie in it.

  3. China mediating between Saudi and Iran: The US isn't an honest broker. After years of negotiations the US reneged on the climate protocols and the nuclear proliferation deal. And then there's of course every single deal hammered out between Israel and Palestine, which have been repeatedly broken by Israel with no consequence whatsoever. A deal made with the US is not worth the paper it's written on. It's that simple, really. I don't say this as a proponent of any nation, I find Saudi, Iran and China all to be vile regimes.
