Get an AC or move seems to be the obvious solution. Let people have their bars and cafes instead of turning everything into a sterile hellscape to suit some particular need.

@franjkav I absolutely agree. It's bad. But a stupid mistake, and this was a stupid mistake in a heated moment, is not the same as systematic abuse by people in power.

I agree that it's completely unacceptable. But you really need to calm the f*** down with the puritanical language. This is a "sexual overstepping of boundaries" at best and there should be the appropriate consequences. What it isn't is an "assault", "micro-rape", or "mini violence". You diminish victims of actual sexual assault when you equate minor behavioural infractions (tasteless as they may be) to horrific experiences that takes years to overcome. And let the woman herself speak out. She's not a helpless little thing to be patronized by the collective Karen's of the world that feel the need to insert themselves into any and everything on behalf of others.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Yes, I'm male. And am I right in assuming you're a white lady with more privilege than 95% of women in the world? It's an interesting approach to, as we say in football, "go after the player instead of the ball" in this discussion. I have a partner and family who have suffered sexual assault. Not being forced to a gross kiss while getting a medal. Actual sexual assault. Don't diminish that s*** by using charged language that makes it all about you instead. You're an ally. I'm an ally. We get it. But this is a fucking storm in a cup of water when it comes to sexual violence, domestic abuse, trafficking. It's simply not the same.

@franjkav And some people don't. Accidentally getting pushed at a concert because people were drunk and a bit excited isn't "violence". See my point? Serious use of language requires serious thought behind it. The man is an idiot and probably a misogynist. If he gets fired, I won't cry a single tear. But he's not "a sexual offender" by any legal, criminal definition.

The whole kiss n hug at the world cup is a bit of a storm in a cup... The player spoke out against it. The offender apologized. And they've both agreed that it was probably a misunderstanding given the elevated state of their emotions. Spanish culture is different than Anglo culture (thank god!) when it comes to kisses and touching. There's really nothing more to that story. Let's focus our energy on things that matter.
