  1. Did you really invoke Israel as an example of a free democratic society in your epilogue? The same Israel that is responsible for numerous human rights abuses, war crimes and an illegal occupation, whilst at the same time offering full rights to settlers in the very same occupied territories? For someone who professes liberal democratic values, I'd suggest researching the policies and actions of Israel the last few decades. I think you'll find some similarities between the Russian media coverage and popular opinions and the ones in Israel. Oh, yes and systematic ethnic cleansing and a slow genocide to boot...

  2. Sure, after 4 years of genocide. Before that the EU were sitting on their hands. When the same thing came in Kosovo, NATO acted without hesitation and pounded those criminals back to the stone age. It's still called "the war of NATO aggression" in Serbia. But really, we should start with halting every product from Russia including energy. Economic recession be damned. But you won't have any politicians sacrificing their popularity for someone in need.
