"Fuck if I know" US strategy 2024
192
Man, Alexander looks exhausted. Thank you for informing us despite not being 100%

It's ironic that Victoria Nuland is built like a Soviet era heavy tank.

"Special relationship": When you're stuck with a narcissistic sociopath
27
You mean like the unequivocal aid and support for the genocide in Gaza? Firing dissenting opinions and trying to criminalise the right to protest genocide? Things are very dark everywhere in our so-called "free world". For the life of me I don't understand what Israel can offer that is worth destroying our values, integrity and reputation for. But maybe that's just me. I'm a simple person that values honesty and kindness.
25
The question we need to ask ourselves now is not whether Israel has a right to exist, but whether this racist colonial project deserves to exist. A secular unitary state after the malevolent ideology of Zionism has been uteerly removed, root and stem, is the only solution for the people of Israel/Palestine. That, or further tragedies and atrocities committed by a people that should know better

You'd think that a million shells is easier and cheaper to produce than a million drones.

Mackinder is so full of shit, he's a viable alternative to the fertilizer shortage. His theory is unverified, unproven and like many "simple" theories underestimate the importance of technology, current geopolitics and the power of safe maritime access. It's an obsolete idea.
8
Half went to US MIC, the other half is in Switzerland because the Ukrainian official have always known this was a largely symbolic act. Might as well get paid.
7
They're also supported and controlled by the US. That's why you don't see any action towards Israel, political, economic or military...
7
The problem is that these parties are not only anti-immigrayion, their language is vehemently xenophobic and have made it the norm to use derogatory and dehumanising language about other groups. So not all good in my book...
6
The two-state solution died along with the placement of 750.000 settlers in East Jerusalem and the West Bank. It's folly to speak of it when even the political center of Israel (with or without the Overton drift) refuse the notion. There are only two solutions left: A unitary Israel with possibly autonomous Palestinian regions, but at least full and equal rights for all OR a "final solution" for the "Palestinian Problem" as they're attempting right now in Gaza and will attempt in the West Bank in the future.
6
Farage conducted 7 campaigns in which he failed, before the ref on Brexit. You should probably try that thing out called facts.
6
Same in "Vassal Europe". I'm increasingly considering emigration to countries that at the very least have a neutral attitude towards the US, UK and Israel. It's sickening to be an unwilling part of this madness.
5
The Kurds lost every ounce of legitimacy and sympathy from me when they chose to become Israeli collaborators, in effect sell out the Palestinians, in the hopes of promoting their own independence for their (also) historically oppressed people.
5
Oh dear, who could have possibly seen that coming? /s

Persia is an exonym. The Iranians trying to distance themselves from the regime in Iran by insisting they're "Persians" are using the Greek name for their country. It would be like the English insisting on being called "Anglais" because they hate their own regime in their country.
4
It is beyond me how Europe let the US destroy NordStream and effectively maim Germany without even a single person in the media pointing out the possibility that it was a US false flag operation. "Qui Bono", folks!? That's always the first question in geopolitics.
3
@Redbaron9495 Sure, I don't doubt that. I just find it weird to use the term "Persian" when there's a very good alternative that even makes perfect sense: Iranian.
3
Why is anyone acting surprised? What has he ever said or done that wasn't fully in line with being a NeoCon?
3
Why does it smell like bacon after Victoria Nuland got burnt? PS: If you find that joke mean, it's still not as mean as her appetite is towards her knees.

I don't believe that Iran has any intention of doing anything - which really makes the US and Israel even more insane in their rhetoric. Iran, Israel, Saudi and Turkey have each politicians that have benefitted domestically by painting each other as adversaries and/or enemies. It's simply not in their interest to neutralize anyone as they can keep milking each other for political points at home. The only outlier is Netanyahu which now desperately needs the US to enter a war on the side of Israel to maintain his legitimacy and possibly increase his popularity among the increasingly radicalised Israeli population. Just my 2 cents.
2
Sadly, Americans are sheep led by wolves to the slaughter... It's very hard to deprogram generations of jingoism and exceptionalism ideology. Just look at the British and the way they still perceive themselves despite every metric pointing to the opposite.
2
I don't think so. I think the Dems have already lost the election. And knowing the neocons, they'll pull every move on Trump to have him escalate the conflicts in Ukraine, Israel and probably China as well. It'll be 4 years of desperate moves from a dying empire
2
Mark my words: Zelensky will take his stolen Ukrainian money and flee to Israel or the US, like the good little zionist he is.
2
Bidens plan: If you'll be remembered as a horrible president, make sure that there is no one left to remember it...
2
What on earth are you talking about? Lebanon and every other country has been destabilised since the inception of Israel. Read up on the civil war and the Israeli "intervention".
2
It's an engineered "fear and panic". When (cumulatively) millions of people have marched and there have been almost no incidents, but every single time the right wing have taken to the streets, I feel the sense of a society where common sense, facts and integrity have been exchanged for populism, propaganda and power. When the media and politicians serve the same vested interests don't expect anything to be done for the good of the citizens.
2
Anyone remember the 2000 Bush v Gore election (coup, really) ?
2
The US has evidently based their entire foreign policy strategy on the proverb, as we say here in Denmark, "You can't hammer a nail through a turd without ruining both"
2
Not only is it elected, it's far more democratic than the two-party electoral system of the US. Just telling you the facts here, bub.
2
@janetbaker1945 Form over substance. Much like US policy. I'm not a native English speaker, but I'll edit it for your sake. Thanks for the correction.
2
Are they supporting the genocide committed by Israel and intending on pursuing their belligerence towards Russia and China? If so, it probably won't matter a whole lot
1
Socrates and Plato were great thinkers, but they knew fuck all about geopolitics.
1
I'm an EU citizen and I say: Good. Fuck us. We apparently need to learn things the hard way that the US is not our friend and likely never were.
1
Israel > USA > Everyone else. I'd be shitting myself if I was Taiwanese too. The US will probably defend Taiwan till "the last Taiwanese"...
1
Dear Duran Just starting watching your videos. Question: How are you funded? (ie. any conflicts of interest?) Best regards
1
Every time Biden doesn't lose control of his bowel movements is probably considered a "big boy" moment.
1
If you think that this points towards corruption in the Cohen case, how can you not also assume, on the points given, that Trump is guilty in collusion with foreign Powers? The rationale is deeply flawed. Or are we back to "the other guy is always guilty and our guy is always innocent"? But don't mind me, I'm just using logic and common sense...
1
Starter is through his own statements an accomplice to genocide.
1
Every Trump pick except for Gabbard are NeoCon warhawks. Don't expect anything except "new boss, same as the old boss" when it comes to US foreign policy. The only difference is that Trump isn't intelligent enough to lie about his intentions, which is actually a good thing. He's a massive liar, though, so there's that.
1
Oh fuck no. And you'd be foolish to think that. But maybe he'll create just enough chaos so that the US will ease up on their campaign to make everyone hate them...
1
It's very hard to talk about any legality or morality towards Russia in Ukraine, when Israel has been funded & armed by the US and given a Carte Blanche to commit genocide. Before that it was "just" occupation, oppression and apartheid for 7 decades... Fact is that Israel has done far worse, for far longer, than anyone called a terrorist group by the West.
1
South of Africa, so Antarctica? 😉
1
Rule of thumb: Whatever Bolton or any of the other NeoCon morons recommend: Do the opposite. His track record as of now is 0 for ♾️, I believe.
1
@DIREWOLFx75 Yeah, again, that's the Greek exonym. No such thing as Persia in Farsi. The land has been called Fars, Iran or different version of dynastic names. Persia is the European name for it. Again, would the English say "Anglais" about themselves just because most of Europe (nobility and Kings) spoke French in the 16-1700s?
1
@HarryC-Smith Nope. It was Fars, not Pars. Hence the Greek exonym and the language called "Farsi". In arabic it's called "Fares". That name wasn't imported through secondhand accounts of foreign lands from Greeks and Romans.
1
@ExpatZ266 I have no fucking idea what you're talking about. Please don't be a moron. Also, there's no such thing as an "expat". You're a migrant, whether you intend to stay or not.

Famous last words: "What's the worst that can happen?" - Inept US security council member after approving the use of ATACMS

And if the BRICS+ suddenly call in their debts in the US? Global economic meltdown...
