  1. I'm on the fence. And I'm no fan of Erdogan. And admittedly I don't know enough about this "billionaire philanthropist" (which is on any account a very biased representation) and his role in the coup. We're (Western Europe) very good at taking free shots except when they're "our friends". UAE, Saudi, Egypt, Israel and yes, the US, which in every aspect has committed far larger crimes against humanity and crimes of war, but somehow still gets a pass. At this point, our words mean nothing if we aren't consistent in our actions towards these crimes. All these countries
