  1. That's such a bad idea. Haven't we learned anything from the "expansion for the sake of expansion" doctrine from the last 20 years? Can anyone honestly say that Bulgaria and Romania were ready for membership! The EU needs to consolidate its values on research, energy, agriculture and, most importantly, taxation of corporations. Our democratic institutions are under siege in Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia. Let's get that under control before we even think of discussing further expansion.
