  1. You need to read up a bit more on the subject. If you don't have strong unions or strong laws, the average worker will get screwed by their employers. Average minimum wage has more or less been stagnant since the late 60's. It doesn't take a genius economist (and you and I definitely aren't one) to realize that something is awfully wrong with the current labour market in the US. Now add gig work, lack of healthcare and people unable to afford basic living costs on 2-3 jobs and the only thing I can say about your comment is this: Total and utter BS.
