  2. I disagree. It wasn't a very good special, granted. And he became somewhat preachy. Again no argument there. But I believe you've sorely missed the message of the final half of his special. Said in one word: Daphne. I find it sadly convenient that NO ONE mentioned that, which is arguably the most important statements in his show. And intent matters.

  5. This is hypocrisy at its best. We've all laughed about a multitude of subjects all the time, and now, when it's "inconvenient" (ie you have a chance to signal your righteousness) we're all suddenly "disgusted"? Intent does indeed matter. Otherwise you're just laying out a roadmap for racists and bigots to do their thing, with no consequence, and instead go after people that use a wrong word or phrase instead. People that might actually agree with you.
