  1. We Europeans stopped tuning in to CNN almost as soon as it was possible to watch it over here. No sane European follows any other US media outlet, either. I watch Al Jazeera for thorough and unbiased international reports.

I believe until Americans stop fellating everything that has to do with the military, except actually be willing to put up their own kids to serve or pay for veterans health and benefits, the military will continue to be an integral symbol in American politics.
