  1. The very assumptions of the Fermi Paradox with regards to advanced life is based on "Big Ifs" assumptions. Could it be a dark forest? Sure. But it could also be distance X timing (rise and fall of civilizations) X rarity of advanced life that is the answer. We've only begun to monitor space and to start questioning why we haven't heard or seen anything yet is akin to a child in the car asking after 5 minutes "Are we there yet".
