  2. I disagree - highly. If you're introduced to critical thinking at an early age, yes you'd be more sceptical towards authority. But the same goes for conspiracies and unhinged information where no proof is provided. At the very least you'd now the difference between hypothesis and theory in science. The prevalence of conspiracy theories is directly correlated to the peoples trust in their governments AND their level of education. I can't remember the studies done but I'll try to dig them up for you. Science is a big part of education but not all of it. Understanding economy and politics is also a huge factor. So while I don't disagree that these people are very hard to convince, let me amend my solution: 1) Money out of politics 2) Better quality of basic education ie. free education Those two by themselves would go a hell of a long way to mitigate the mouth breathers out there... But neither are in the interest of politicians today...
