  2. The US themselves made sure of it by denying rapprochement with Russia and Iran in the 90s and 00s. Their constant belligerent tone towards a country like China doesn't help anyone either. I wouldn't be surprised if other Brics countries join in a more strategic partnership with these countries to counter an increasingly hostile US foreign policy.
