Brazil and US are doing just peachy. Who would've guessed that the likes of Trump and Bolsanoro were incompetent, ignorant and careless about the untold pain and loss of lives.

Consider this: We Palestinians have been on "lockdown" since 1967. In Gaza, they'd wish for lockdown, considering it's the largest internment camp in the world. Add to that systematic brutality, racism and oppression. Losing your lands or homes. Having no legal rights whatsoever. Now consider this: Would the brutality of Israel against the Palestinian prove have been allowed to continue without American support and funds? I feel enraged by what I see in America. But perhaps this evil is necessary for average Americans to feel the evil they have been aiding and abetting against Palestinians for generations.

Still haven't heard a sentence from Hassan that was factually untrue. The man is a treasure.

Qui bono? Iran has nothing to gain from a conflict. Israel, Saudi, UAE and the US, however....
74
This reeks of a dirty DNC deal
67
I'm going to start selling caps and t-shirts with the following^ "America - corporations, cruelty & corruption"
61
He hired the dog breeder because all the tiger breeders are under investigation or in jail
56
No names and insignia = Intention of violence and rights abuse
53
These young men are inspirational heroes

It's not surprising and there is no hypocrisy here. The policies are working exactly as intended. Here in Denmark, our former minister of immigration said it in plain terms "it's no secret we prefer Ukrainian refugees to Syrians, Iraqis and Afghans, as they share our values and will easily assimilate into our society". There you have it, black on white. We intend to treat people in need differently depending on their ethnicity, creed or skin colour. And if the courts here in Denmark (and probably the US too) could constitutionally allow denying specific groups migration or asylum rights, then politicians would be pushing for that too. It's our disgusting reality.

You will have justice, brother and sisters

Thank you for a well thought out interview with differing perspectives. I'm sickened by the sheer hypocrisy and lack of introspection regarding the history of unwarranted interventions by Western nations. All cheered on by purposeful propagandized reporting by media outlets and ignorant opportunistic politicians.

Free Palestine

Brother West is a goddamn world treasure! Greetings from Denmark
22
Wow. The WSJ is reporting on this? Colour me surprised.
21
I'm surprised the US aren't also covering for and arming the monsters here.
19
Oh shit. You know you lost the "heartland family values" crowd (whatever the fuck family values actually means) when a white woman police officer is speaking out against you.
18
If he's successful, it's a great investment. Unfortunately, that's all he cares about. Gathering more piles of money than he will ever be able to spend... Instead of caring for his family, co-workers and the rest of humanity.
18
You can mourn the person. It's hard to argue mourning for what she represented and what she selectively remained silent on.
17
Thank you for shedding a light on the crimes of this brutal regime.
17
Great. So if you have committed corporate or political crime, you're good. But God help you if you're black and carrying 10 grams of marihuana in certain states...
13
And that was just Tuesday. Wonder what America does for christmas
13
Have the DNC learned nothing from 2016? If you set up a corporate shill against Trump - you will lose the election
13
The Nakba never ended. And contrary to popular belief, it began before the state of Israel was even established.
10
Qui bono? WHO benefits from conflict with Iran? Israel, Arabia, UAE & the US. I'll believe it's any of them before I believe Iran is escalating the conflict (and I freakin despise Iran)
10
"57 officers quit after the suspension of their colleagues" So they have morals and conscience when it comes to their own, but none whatsoever towards their community and the people who pay their wages...
9
Mr Inons parents were likely also killed by Israelis, not Hamas. An important piece of information when people try to "both sides" this as they usually do.
9
*Britain still sells chemical weapons and rubber bullets to Saudi, UAE, Egypt and Israel
9
It's an insultingly low amount of money for a billionaire. If you had 7 million it would the equivalent of 7 dollars for you.
9
Who would have thought that diminishing the value of human life and praising violence, militarism and nationalism abroad would be able to morph into a homegrown movement that believes in the very same values... Well, a lot of people, really. All the time.
9
Cut the bullshit. This arrogant answer of yours is exactly why Israel is among the most hated countries in the world.
8
It's a social jobs program, and to maintain these jobs, many in red rural states, you continuously increase spending despite the Pentagon not even asking for these budget increases.
8
Guess what: Every time there's dominating global news - Israel commits further human rights abuses against Palestinians. Coincidence?
8
DN does more news in 8 minutes than 24 hours on CNN, Fox or MSNBC. Yes, News, not entertainment and empty panel discussions

@JJ-ju6ky Maybe you're right. Your elections are decided by roughly carrying 1/3 of the eligible voters. In a democracy, however, this doesn't absolve you of crimes perpetrated by your government. Native Americans are still horribly suffering today. Brown and black people marginalized and abused. Corporations given free will to exercise their murderous avarice. And of course the militarized state of police and infringement on civil liberties. Inaction and ignorance carries the day, unfortunately. I feel for the injustice that people in America see every day. Now please see mine, whether I'm a Yemeni Child getting bombed by UAE fighters, an Egyptian reporter, a Saudi dissident or a Palestinian Protester. (All these tragedies are a direct result of US Foreign policy towards brutal regimes)

Advice to American Patriots: Be prepared to March when Trump refuses to step down.
6
No one said that. No one. There is a difference, not that it matters in the end: Palestinians have been occupied for generations and a "democracy" directly allied to the US have been responsible for war crimes and genocide. The US has a direct hand in Gaza. Both need to be called out and both must have action taken to save the lives of the innocent!
6
"Misadventures in the ME" 1 million dead and counting...
6
Kool-aid: Congratulations. You just traded the lives of 500.000 Syrian civilians and the dispossessment of 15 million people for "whatever it it takes to restore order and stability" - whatever the fuck that means... And no, the US would not do the same, you ignorant moron. Have you heard of the civil rights movement? Was there a civil war because of that or did the US government give in to legitimate claims from the population? How can anyone in their right mind agree with "long live Assad"? The level of ignorance in this thread is mind boggling. I better prepare for the republic of Gilead, I guess...
6
You just described what literally happens to Palestinians on a daily basis. What's your opinion on that, or is it different rules when brown people are involved?
5
In what way were the demonstrations in Syria in 2010 violent? Please educate me. Was it when the first 100's had been killed by army snipers? Or when the shellings began? To answer your question: If they are cunts, they would. If they are an illegitimate government, but with a shred of decency and humanity, then no. Case in point: Tunisia, South Africa, Poland, Turkey, Czech Rep., Zimbabew etc... Please tell me you're a russian troll. Or just an average American. Because no one else can be writing comments that intensely deprived of historical context and factual events.
5
@lookforward2life I agree with you. I'm not saying that anyone deserves this, although I'm a bit heavy handed in my expression. My point is that these evils that Americans are seeing, and have seen for a long time, is part of US policy. And maybe, just maybe, something good can come of this that can foster awareness, if not sympathy and compassion, towards plights of millions throughout the world.
4
So which sources do you trust? Glenn Beck? Fox? Breitbart? Boogaloo daily? I don't like CNN either, but they're just following the politicians... Corporate, corrupt and incompetent.
4
And this is just your average day of news in the US. Not to mention the tragedies that aren't even covered because they literally happen every single day. Murica #1, f*** yeah!
4
China, just as Israel, Saudi or Russia, can and should be criticized without it turning to hatred towards people of that nationality that choose to lead peaceful and tolerant loves in our communities.
4
What did you expect? Soldiers and cops are the same.
4
Why is it that Americans assume it's communist/socialist/Marxist if you want fair taxes for the wealthy, and a health and education system that works for everybody? Aren't we past scaring old moms and pops that the Mexicans/Arabs/commies/Chinese are coming for them in Whereville, Whocares County?
4
You're joking right? The system has had open wounds the size of canyons its entire history
4
I think Trump in the White House is ultimately a good thing. Well the next 5-10 years is gonna suck for sure, but after that, maybe politicians will start to get their shit together
4
What a despicable person. She used to be a socialist. Wtf happened?
