The original story was 1812, the animated version was 1937, if you’re going to criticise someone for getting facts wrong, make sure yours are correct

@MAWyrwich haha no problem, I’m so pleased you were respectful and admit you were wrong, i just thought I’d tell you in case you say it to someone else and they’ll tell you that you’re wrong then you get in a big argument. I told someone else the real date on here and all I got was loads of insults, obviously they are someone who always thinks they are right and gets angry when they get proven to be wrong. @WaddyMuters agree, it seems like they want to change the story just to sound inclusive, diverse and tolerant, I never understand all this race swapping recently in Grimms fairy tales as if other races don’t have their own folklore that Disney could use, or maybe they are too lazy to do that or think it would somehow be cultural appropriation

@MichaelAronson “fairy tale characters don’t have race” They do when there’s descriptions of what they look like and where they are from, I’m sure you wouldn’t be pleased if the wicked queen was black, you’d call it racist, or if a white person was playing a typically black character in another story, you’d call it cultural appropriation. Why are they taking traditional stories and mixing them up when they could use original stories from other cultures? If it’s because everyone is familiar with them, then why not familiarise people with stories from other cultures instead to enrich us all?

@MichaelAronson “how would the story be changed?” They’ve already said there’s no Prince Charming because she’s now a “strong independent woman” but I suppose that doesn’t count as being changed to you. Maybe you should watch it when it comes out so you can see what else has changed 🤦🏾

I got recommended this channel hoping for a nice unbiased view on the world, I watched a few videos and this is such a left liberal leaning channel I’m very disappointed, worse is the vitriol in the comment section from nasty bitter liberals always angry. In the story Snow White is described as having skin as white as snow, no doubt people who watch this channel think Dylan Mulvaney is female. Oh and before anyone assumes I’m a white, straight, old, Christian, American, Republican Male, you only got one correct

I apologise. I wasn’t criticising you for getting a character wrong, I was just pointing out that you said the wrong year, there’s a big difference! Seems like some people can’t admit their mistakes and start getting nasty about it. Ps Maybe you should read your last comment again too while I take your advice and look in the mirror to see who’s the fairest of them all 😉

@theressomelovelyfilthdownh4329 if I amend my first comment you’ll probably say I’m covering it up and anyone else reading wouldnt understand what was going on. You are so angry aren’t you? Funnily enough I pointed out to someone else on here they got the year wrong and they messaged back apologising and saying I was correct. Some people can actually admit their mistakes instead of getting defensive and angry, maybe you should watch some cat videos or even better some boring gardening videos to help you relax a little.
