Most Americans will only hear German spoken in films and usually portrayed negatively. It’s a lot softer than they think

@jameswood1318 if you think “y” is a vowel try saying words beginning with it and “an” in front An yellow bus An yolk of an egg An yard of ale Now say them using “a” and see which sounds easier

It’s younger people that are getting them wrong, they incorrectly hear someone say it and start repeating it as the new buzzword thinking they’re cool, then they type it all the time and others copy them. Worst one I’m seeing is “discussing” for “disgusting” two completely different words with different meanings. If you point it out they get angry and defensive and say you should understand the context instead of them realising they’ve made a mistake

I’ve noticed “addictive” seems to be changing into “addicting” especially with younger people who tend to only read their friends texts or comments on here written by younger people so they pick it up wrong

@ have you seen Raiders of the lost Ark? James Bond films? Die Hard? Inglorious Bstrds?...

I’ve noticed so many people recently saying “discussing” instead of “disgusting” not even a spelling mistake as both are real words with completely different meanings, I can only imagine it’s the way they pronounce it so spell it like that

YouTube algorithm is getting so bad now for deleting comments or demonetising videos if they think a word or phrase is somehow offensive, everyone seems to be getting warnings or comments removed

I remember a bloke in the telephone directory called Zachary Zzyzx, he’d changed his name just so he could be the last entry 😂

@ Not when people like you think Americans are the centre of everything. 🤦🏾 Have you forgotten where Americans came from and love to brag they are a certain nationality because their great grandparents are from a European country 🤷🏾♂️ Thankfully “y’all” don’t think like you do
