I’m mixed race and my father is gutted about the over representation, he was quite proud we were a unique family, now he says they’re bloody everywhere but not in the real world, he works with more Polish people and said they’re never seen on TV, swap them in period dramas and people would say it’s not historically accurate

Funny thing is people are saying they can’t publish photos of him coz he was under 18, then they said it was because he hadn’t been convicted, but I remember the mugshots of those two kids everywhere before they were sentenced. If they can’t show pics of him why show one when he was younger? Still the same person

Half of my family is black and my grandmother told me her and a few other black women used to make them out of old clothes during the war to give out as Christmas presents to kids since no one could afford much, black was the easiest most common colour to get from old clothes, that’s why they’re black, nothing to do with being racist unless you’re a young liberal who has been told so by another older liberal who didn’t bother looking at the origins and just wants something to moan about
