  1.  @tobyihli9470  it's because of China near monopoly of smartphone industry more people in this world can afford smartphone. Before the existence of Xiaomi, Huawei, BBK etc most of smartphones in the market were a luxury item for low to mid income countries. I'm still remember in 2011 when smartphone market were dominated by companies like Apple, Samsung, HTC, LG and Blackberry. The cheapest smartphone at that time were priced at USD 450. I worked at electronic retailer in 2011. But when Chinese brands started to make an appearance in the market people can get a smartphone as cheap as USD 150 to USD 200. It same for the other consumer products when Chinese companies starting to dominate. Chinese companies can make the goods price so low bcus of competition between them plus competition from foreign brands. So I don't see how when China dominate the chips production they are going to jack up the price.
