  3. I'm also Polish and also largely educated in the west. Was your daddy in the PZPR? Do you long for those days? Because I simply don't buy what you're saying. In Poland, Poles always thought we were the centre of the world. In East Germany they spied on each other so much, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone more in love with the socialist system. And the Russians... oh they were always the best. They still don't understand why Poles don't kiss them to this day for saving us from their ally Adolf Hitler. Come on. As for moral and intellectual corrosion, most scientific achievements are Western, what did Russia give us? You know design studies had polkowniki and that's not from colonel but that the projects were headed for the shelf. Moral? Look at the wife beating, abortion, murder, AIDS, rates in Russia.

  6.  @zarni000  If it were not for the Soviets Hitler would not have attacked Poland. H only attacked after signing the Molotov Ribbentrop Pact. The Russians also helped trained the German army in the 1920s in the Kama tank and flight school. The Russians also assisted the Germans in the invasion of Poland by sending them food and fuel and providing them the use of harbours and radio transmitters. Also Russia enslaved Poland and put Poland on the path for extermination in their plan to attack Europe, Poland was to be nuked in response by the Americans. So I'm sorry but the Russians were ALMOST as bad as the NSDAP. Now go away troll.

  11. The problem is that Russia is not stoppable. Europe has tried to reason with Russia by making Russia rich by buying their products. But Russia instead threatens Poland, Baltics etc. Which country on earth threatens to use nuclear weapons on cities like Russia? Nobody else. A doctor, I am an actual doctor, explains the cancer and provides ways of management. In this it was Russia which attacked first by telling Poland they have no right to have a defensive alliance with US. I'm sorry but Poland is an older country than Russia. And we will have defensive alliances with whomever we want. No German woman protected by the Americans is going to tell us in her broken English what we may or may not do because Russia may attack. Well Russia attacks anyway. That's the problem with Russia. And people who lie for Russia are going to have to answer to God one day, why they are lying.

Under the tsars, under liberals when tsars allowed some democracy, under the bolsheviks and now. Only under Yeltsin Russia was on a bit of a backburner. Anyone who lived under the RUssian boot knows this. Even Gorbachev ordered the police and army to shoot at Lithuanian protesters. "Dr Goebbels"? That scumbag? RT is propaganda. And since Russia is a war with the West, non kinetic war, it makes no sense to amplify their lies.

  16. East Germans knew they were propagandized yet they were almost all involved with the government. The amount of spying on each other was exceptional for East European countries. Now they know they're being propagandized because Russia is OK. Youth was OK. So Russia is OK, nostalgia.

  24. As someone who escaped Eastern Europe I would disagree. While people may or may not have believed what Russia was saying, they followed what Russia told them to do. Meanwhile Russians still believe they are the strongest, Russian Mir is the best and so on. They so don't believe their own propaganda they still think they won WW2 singlehandedly and UK/US destroying via bombing all of German industry while arming, fueling and feeding the Russians, did not explain the Russian taking of Berlin. You guys need to actually meet some real Eastern Europeans.

How expensive or unavailable foreign products were. How the health ministry hid child epidemic outbreaks warnings so that kids would get sick and sometimes die from various viral illnesses. How you had to bribe people to get good service. How nuclear war was only a moment away. How private property was confiscated. How living in communal housing was. How books were censored. How religious practice was not allowed or at least very career restrictive. How cops were above the law. Etc.
